Hickory VFW Golf Course, previously named Leeland Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Hermitage, Pennsylvania.
Designed by George Lee, the VFW Golf Course opened in 1930.
This hilly course features medium-sized greens that are fast. The fairways afford generous landing areas but are protected by some sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on four holes.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,300 yards. From the forward tees, the course plays to a par-72 and measures 5,046 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 540 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 9, a par-3 playing to 149 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 1, a 437-yard par-4 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Hickory VFW Golf Course is # 10, a 345 yard par-4.
Course closed 2022.
